My Motivation
We live in times of tumultuous change and challenge, with enormous opportunity for growing, evolving and discovering more about our true selves. It is an exciting and often demanding time to be alive. Often we compromise our true selves in order to fit in with society, so that we will be accepted and loved. However, we can move beyond the limiting conditioning and expectations of society, to a more natural way of living based on inner knowing, respect, love and truth.
It is not an easy journey, as we face our shadows and move through our fear, pain and discomfort to find the joy beyond. In the past I have wanted to maintain harmony and avoid confrontation. Now I realize that the best way out, is through the challenges and problems we face. Denial or suppression only makes things worse. As Rumi eloquently puts it "Seek not for love, rather to remove the blockages to the awareness of love's presence." Our true self is often masked by our fears, anxieties, doubt and distortions and we need to work through these in order to find the buried gold within.
