Mother Blessings and Ceremony

Mother Blessing Ceremony (prior to birth)

Picture

I am available to facilitate Mother Blessings and other ceremonies.  Ceremony is a wonderful way to mark significant occasions in our lives, be it birth, marriage, death or any other occasion.  A Mother Blessing is an adaptation of an old Navajo (native American) ceremony, which celebrates a woman’s rite of passage into motherhood. It is an opportunity for the important women in a the mother to be's life to come together and share love and wisdom with her.

Massage and Postpartum Closing Ceremony

This ceremony can be tailored to incorporate your personal preferences and needs, and may include
  • an acknowledgement and sharing of your birth experience
  • an abdominal massage to encourage healing and restoration
  • the use of rebozo (a traditional Mexican shawl)
  • reflexology for hormonal balancing
  • wrapping of the body to bring your bones and energy back in
  • heart warming cacao for nourishment

Feel free to get in touch if this resonates and we can chat some more. It usually lasts a couple of hours :)

I have facilitated a wedding celebration surrounded by trees and close to mother nature and it was truly magical.  I live in magical Findhorn in northern Scotland.
"Fiona was an absolute blessing as our wedding facilitator. She spoke with us many times as the wedding date approached and was full of enthusiasm and thoughtful ideas, and listened so thoroughly to what was important to us in a ceremony. We were often so busy organising the food, the transport, the marquees, it felt wonderful to trust her entirely to co-ordinate the ceremony. And I'm so glad we did. The ceremony was the most beautiful, most memorable experience of our lives. Fiona made it so personal to us, and to our beliefs. She has a real gift in listening to people, in her creativity and in her heartfelt way of communicating."  (Aoife and Joe)
